All Star Information

All Star teams are comprised of the best players from our league teams in each division.  These teams compete at the same venues described in the Post Season General Information.

All Star teams are eligible to continue to compete in tournaments, but must be self-supporting.  We have designed financial forms for use in making deposits and requesting checks, as well as a separate sponsorship form for All Star teams:

Our Post Season Banking Form is used for both Team deposits and withdrawals.

The All Star Sponsor Form is used specifically for our post season teams.

Teams wishing to participate in AYSO tournaments must obtain permission from the Regional Commissioner and raise all necessary funds to enter.

All Star News - 2007

Several of our All Star teams earned medals at Area Play-Offs in January.

Eric Hon's BU12 team earned third place medals in an exciting 4 - 0 win over Lancaster #1.

First place was captured by the BU14 team.  They are coached by Bill Dakin.  The team won their pool, and went on to win two more games to guarantee first.

The GU12 #1 team, coached by Doyle Williams, won six straight games to take first place honors.  Four pool play wins guaranteed them a medal.  The next game, against Tri-Communities, was a nail-biter.  The girls won after two overtime periods and then kicks from the mark.  The championship game against Quartz Hill was extremely exciting, ending in a score of 2 - 1.  Below is a photo of the Area Champs.  Top row left to right - Coach Doyle, Jessica, Jessica, Kellsie, Rebecca, Faith, Brianna and Coach Paul.  Middle row left to right - Katie, Rachel, Cassi, Gentry and Ashley.  Front row is goalkeeper Sydney.

The team participated in the Section All Star Play-Offs in Bakersfield in March.  While they did not earn a medal at that tournament, the girls played hard and with grace.  Great job Girls!

Grape Stomp 2007

Our GU12 All Star team competed in Rancho Cucamonga at the Grape Stomp in March.  The girls prevailed and won 1st place.  Their championship picture is below.  Back row left to right: Coach Paul, Kellsie, Rebecca, Jessica & Coach Doyle.  2nd row: Brianna and Katie.  3rd row: Cassi and Rachel.  4th row: Jessica, Gentry, Faith and Ashley.  Front row: Sydney.  Excellent work team!
CONGRATULATIONS DIAMOND CRUSHERS!

Region 665's GU12 League Team, the Diamond Crushers, are
California State Champs

The team won first place at the Area 10-D Playoffs in January, before winning another first place at Section 10 Playoffs in February.  This title guaranteed their eligibility to play in Bakersfield on April 5, 2008 for the State Championship.    Two hard-fought, well-played games later, the team is the first in Region 665's history to be called California State Champions.  Congratulations Coach John Whiting and the entire Diamond Crushers team.
