As a region we are required to fill 7 mandatory positions.  The Board also includes additional members which include VIP Coordinator, Division Coordinators, Fundraising Lead etc

AYSO Region 665 Board and Board Staff volunteer positions are described below. Reach out to a current board member for additional information about volunteering for one of the open positions. Board and Staff positions require additional training and commitment to attend monthly board meetings, as necessary.

Luisa Trejo

Manage the region and oversee the various board positions. Provide support to the other board members. Participate in the RAP process to reach the RAP goal.

Stephanie Landez

Manage the region finances. Responsible for creating the annual budget, providing monthly reports, and handling the refund process, accounts payable, and account receivable.Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Safety Director 
Timothy Wood

 Ensure that the safety standards of AYSO Accident Insurance, Safe Haven, and first aid protocols are followed.Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.

Coach Administrator
Adrian Perez

Mentoring the coaches, expand training opportunities, and provide support to the division coordinators. Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Referee Administrator 
Keith Metzler
Monitor, train, recruit, manage the referee schedule and support the Region's referees. Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Tanya Burkel

Assistant Registrar (Open)

 Mange the registration process, balance the teams and create the team rosters. Concentration on the communications, marketing, logistics for the various registration events. This would include scheduling registration dates, informing the public/league, securing registration location/materials, staffing the registrations. Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA)

Ensure that the volunteers are prepared for the season and that the guidelines are followed. Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Tanya Burkel

Compile, publish, and archive the meeting minutes. Assist the RAP Coordinator to reach the RAP goals.
Assist in all communications

Support the regional website and social media platforms
VIP Coordinator

Coordinate the VIP program.  This program is for children and adults with physical or mental disabilities. 
Fundraising Coordinator

 Assign teams and coaches, schedule games, and handle the organization of divisions within the Region.
Community/Publicity Coordinator (Open)

Responsible for all regional publicity to include serving as a liaison with the community. Assist with advertising for registration.
Volunteer Coordinator
 Recruit volunteers, serve as communication specialist for volunteer network, participate planning volunteer recognitions and parties, follow up on volunteer interest, work with CVPA to ensure volunteer requirements are met.

        26th Annual Coyote Classic Tournament

AYSO Invitational – open to AYSO teams only from all Sections.

When: February 10th & 11th,2018

Where: The tournament will be held at Brewster Park in Apple Valley, California. There is a $5 charge for parking.
No pets are allowed at fields. No parking on grass and all cars must be parked head first.

Who: AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions: U-14 (11v11) 15 players max. U-12 (9v9) 12 players max. and U-10 (7v7) 10 players max. All players must be registered to play in the AYSO 2017 primary season. Guest players will be allowed (3 maximum per team). Co-ed teams will be accepted in boys’ divisions only.

What: Pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games (forfeit wins included) in pool play. Each pool winner and if needed highest 2nd will advance to semi final and/or medal rounds. All games will be as follows: 60 min. for U-14, 60 min for U-12, and 50 min for U-10.

Why: The 26th Annual Coyote Classic Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser by Region 665 to raise funds for Field Development, Equipment, & Maintenance, 2016 National Games assistance and to provide Scholarship funds for youths in Region 665.
Awards: All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament pin. All players on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place teams will receive a medal.

Entry Fee, Refunds: 10U- $425  / 12U- $450 / 14U-$475
Referee Deposit: $225

Board of Directors Information

Region 665 is located in the High Desert area of Southern California. We are part of Section 10, which encompasses a large part of Southern California and Area D, of which we are one of twelve member regions. Our Region was chartered in 1990 and proudly hosts an annual tournament, The Coyote Classic.  We play on the fields at Hook Park located at 14973 Joshua St., Victorville.
